About Course
Cervical Spine Mastery Program
The cervical spine is one of the most mobile regions of the body, allowing us to turn, tilt, and move our heads with remarkable freedom. However, this mobility comes at a cost: the neck has relatively little structural stability, making it particularly vulnerable to pain, injury, and postural dysfunction. In today’s world, hours spent looking at phones, computers, and desks contribute to forward head posture, muscle imbalances, and chronic neck tension. Yet neck pain isn’t limited to sedentary individuals. Many yoga practitioners, yoga teachers, dancers, and other highly flexible movers experience neck problems for a different reason—excess mobility, poor movement patterns, and insufficient stability in the muscles that support the cervical spine.
In this mini-course, you’ll learn about the two most common types of neck dysfunction seen in yoga students and why they require different therapeutic approaches. You’ll discover how to assess movement patterns, identify common postural presentations, and adapt yoga practices to meet the unique needs of each student. Through a combination of anatomy, biomechanics, and practical application, you’ll gain the tools to modify postures, build appropriate strength and stability, and create safer, more effective yoga practices for students experiencing neck pain. Whether you’re a yoga teacher, therapist, or dedicated practitioner, this course will help you approach the cervical spine with greater confidence, precision, and skill.
This course also contains a bonus 1 hour practice for the upper back, neck and shoulders.
